Vivers de Cardedeu, S.A, which has more than 40 hectares of land, has specialised since 1972 in the cultivation and marketing of plants, shrubs and trees, particulary large species, such as Quercus ilex, Quercus suber, Olea europaea, Arbutus unedo, Pinus pinea i Magnolia Grand. Gallisoniensis, among others.

Its business is directed towars the domestic market, as well as various countries in Europe and the Near East.

The nursery has been inspected and declared free of fire blight (erwinia amylovora) in accordance with the agreement between the Institute of Agro-Food Technology of the University of Girona, the Plant Protection Service (Department of Agriculture, Sotckbreeding and Fishery of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia) and the Girona Nursery Association. Samples from all the cultivation plots and all the batches of plants susceptible to fire blight have been analysed by means of the “ELISA-DASI Enrichment method (IVIA method)” and the PCR method.

The nursery has been approved by the Autonomous Government of Catalonia and is registered in the Official Register of Plant Producers, Traders and Importers under the number E-09-080013.
